ABOUT THE ROLE You will be responsible for implementation andoversight of Industrial Hygiene activities at two R&D sites and onemanufacturing site. The role of the Industrial Hygienist is toanticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control health hazards present in our workareas and to develop/sustain comprehensive and ongoing programs to protect theworkforce. As part of a ten person HSE team you will interact with safetyand environmental professionals to create best in class HSE processes thatdrive success and efficiency in all operations.
KeyResponsibilities • IH Program maintenance, development, andoversight
• Conduct monitoring of workplace hazards, asnecessary
• Support Research and Development on new productinitiatives
• Implements HSE&F standards
• Provide technical assistance
• Site compliance reviews
• Strong MOS administration
• Advocates HON behaviors
• Effective coach and role model
• Deploys safety initiatives
• Measures key HSEF metrics
• Drives standard work
• Ensures compliance standards
YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience conducting Industrial Hygiene surveys/designingand implementing controls for workplace hazards
• Ability to travel to two sites in the Chicago area
• Ability to walk sites including stairs and ladders
WE VALUE • Bachelor's degree preferred in Safety, Engineering, Science
• Certified Industrial Hygienist
• Chemical Industry experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Use of innovative thinking to create continuous improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
