Position Overview:

The Director of the Oak Hill Academy Golf Academy will be responsible for recruiting and developing student-athletes, managing the day-to-day operations of the program, and creating an environment that encourages excellence in both golf and academics. This individual will also have the chance to organize summer camps, plan travel experiences, and grow the program through innovative approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive golf program, including coaching, training, and competition strategies.

• Recruit and mentor student-athletes to participate in the Golf Academy.
• Oversee all aspects of the golf program, including practices, tournaments, and travel.
• Manage the administration of the program, including scheduling, equipment, and budget oversight.
• Collaborate with admissions and marketing to promote the program and recruit new golfers.
• Develop and lead golf summer camps and other revenue-generating opportunities.
• Foster an environment that promotes academic success, character development, and personal growth for student-athletes.

About Oak Hill Academy

Oak Hill Academy is a boarding school located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia and enrolls girls and boys in grades 8-12. The school enrolls approximately 145 students each year and averages a 10:1 student/teacher ratio. The diverse student body comes from 22-25 states and 5-7 foreign countries. The mission of Oak Hill Academy is to inspire academic success, cultivate personal growth, and personify a healthy community while fostering relationships among students, families, and our school. We are a co-educational Baptist-affiliated school that provides a college preparatory education in a small, structured, and nurturing environment.
