Overview Cambridge has recruited talented interns from across the country to join us during the summer for a 10-12 week internship. Each year, over 35 interns join us for a paid summer internship experience at our home office in Fairfield, Iowa. The Next Step internship program gives students practical insight into the financial services industry and allows students to gain practical knowledge in their field. Students are partnered with a professional mentor, supervisor, and executive leader to gain networking opportunities and learn from industry professionals. At the conclusion of the internship, each intern will have the opportunity to present on their experience and a specific project of their choice.
Essential Duties The Business Analyst works under the direction of Business Development Leadership and consults on all departmental statistic, metric and recruiting revenue totals for executive leadership. Our interns will have the opportunity to explore the finance industry while gaining practical knowledge and skills on how to calculate metrics and analyze results.
We have one Business Development Internship opening located in the Fairfield, IA office.
As the Business Analyst Intern, you will:
- Help the company to fuel data-driven decisions by gathering and presenting information in a clear and meaningful way
- Analyze to evaluate Salesforce reporting solutions, and accuracy of system outputs
- Gain industry knowledge of key industry topics, technological trends, and internal programs and use this knowledge to bring solutions to departments supported to enhance the company's competitive edge
- Provide valuable information that is used by executive leadership for strategic decisions that drive recruiting efforts to increase recruiting revenue for firm growth.
- Collaborate with other teams to understand how the different types of business models impact recruiting revenue for the firm.
- Gain 'hands on' experience creating reports in Salesforce CRM
- Utilize Excel and Tableau to create a dashboard of trends.
Education & Experience Students studying or interested in business administration, data analytics, or accounting will most likely be the most successful in this role.
Compensation: $16-18 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate's qualifications, the Company's operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated range.

Interns will participate in leadership panels to hear from company leaders, ask questions and gain valuable insight as well as have the chance to job shadow in other teams at Cambridge. Following the summer internship, interns have access to the Next Step Intern Alumni LinkedIn group to stay in touch with Cambridge and other past interns.
