Join Our Team as a Part-Time Caregiver for children with special needs in Warren, MI

Location: Warren, MI – Wayne County
Schedule: Afternoons & Evenings
Compensation: $16.05- $19.05 per hour, depending on the case assigned

Position Overview

ExpertCare is looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to support children with disabilities in their homes and local community. This role involves assisting with daily routines, guiding life skills development, and creating a nurturing, supportive environment.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old
Willing to work in the client’s home and nearby community spaces such as parks or libraries
Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
Experience with developmental disabilities preferred but not required
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Ability to pass required background checks
Completion of online training and two in-person sessions in Troy, MI

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one compassionate support in the home
Assist with daily hygiene routines and encourage independence
Help with household tasks, teaching skills to build confidence
Foster a positive environment to encourage personal growth and following directions
Follow individualized care plans and adhere to ExpertCare training
